Leap day hackathon for Google Gadgets, Maps, and more
Category: Google, Programming, hacking
On 29th of Feb (leap day) Google will be holding a hachathon for anyone interested in participating. It will be help at theirĀ Mountain view facility in the ‘The Googleplex building’. If you are in the area and an expert JAVA programmer then it may be a fun day for you to attend. Google says just bring your laptops and come hang out with us in Mountain View for a fun day. If you ever wanted to be employed by Google and have the right skills then I am sure they will be scouting for talent at the hackathon (why else would they do this?).
There will be plenty of our Google engineers around to answer questions and guide you. They will start with a short introduction to APIs and then break up into groups for coding and camaraderie. There will provide food and prizes will be awarded to the best performers.

- Google Gears — designed to make your web applications work offline
