In a digital world with the web acting as a connection machine, the barriers of space are eliminated, giving us the ability to make an abundance of connections.
Abundance breeds quality for only that which rises to the top. So what happens to the abundance of connections that do not make it to the top?
Ironically, we often use physical or digital proximity to push others away instead of inviting them in. Think about it. When someone gets too close to you and it does not feel right inside or you are afraid what do you do? You push them away right?
This happens both in the physical and the digital world.
In the thousands of connections we have each day, physical and digital proximity gives us the chance to create meaningful ones.
But it doesn’t ensure it will happen. That’s up to us.
